Ray Cox grew up in Somerset and, after working at a local short wave radio station and completing an apprenticeship, he moved to London working on the production of TV Detector Cars. After short periods with Philips Domestic Appliances and BICC Cables, Ray joined the sales team of BT in 1981 dealing with major companies. In 1985, Ray set up his own company working in the Social Care Sector across all 33 London Boroughs, Care Homes, and Home Care Agencies. Ray is now very much involved in local Scouting and in running the annual Hazlemere Fete. Ray and his wife live in Hazlemere and have lived in the Wycombe District since 1970. He joined the WDNHWA committee on 12th March 2019.
